NEWS FROM THE GLORIA CENTER

MERIA Journal is creating a French-language edition scheduled to come out in April 2006. We are looking for good articles in French that deal with the politics, society, history, economics, and other areas of the modern Middle East (twentieth and twenty-first centuries). We encourage authors to submit proposals or queries. Michigan State University, the James Madison College, is seeking an assistant professor level for 2006-07 at the Israel Studies faculty. Writing Opportunities

The Center for the Study of Islam and Democracy call for paper proposals for its 7th Annual Conference, entitled: "The Challenge of Democracy in the Muslim World."
